Nearly all are in the Victoria B&B , Paddington B&B and Kings Cross B&B districts. If you are visiting London, Victoria is very convenient with a lot of B&B accommodation. It is very close to the landmark sights like Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Big Ben and the London Eye etc. The airport buses from Stansted also terminate here.

Paddington and Kings Cross are also easy transfers with the relatively cheap National Express coach service from Stansted dropping off at Baker Street - a short underground or bus ride away.

London Hotel Districts

West End: The very centre of London for the visitor with the theatre district, Oxford St and many of the main sights, consequently very little budget accommodation.

Kings Cross / Euston: Kings Cross has some of the cheapest accommodation in Central London, Euston is more upmarket.

Victoria: Hotel accommodation of all grades, very central and great direct transport links with the airports.

Bayswater & Paddington: Perhaps the major budget accommodation area in London with great economic restaurants, shops too.

Liverpool Street & City: The financial and business area of London. Terminus of Stansted Express and Stansted Terravision buses. Hotel accommodation has few budget options.

Between the very cheap Bed and Breakfasts and the owner run B&B's are the hotels in the middle ground.

The best value to be found in this sector is concentrated just north of Hyde Park around Bayswater and Paddington and Kings Cross districts, though of course others of equal value do exist in most districts.

Included on this page are self certified 2 and 3 star hotels. Many of these places call themselves 3 star hotels to illustrate they provide lifts, 24 hour front desks and bars and restaurants like a 3 star hotel. Rooms are simple and are priced similar to a B&B.
