Hotels
in Central London West End are mostly
large 3 and 4 star hotels, many being chain hotels.
There are exceptions to the rule however, especially around the Marble
Arch area of Oxford Street where many economic West End Bed and Breakfast
hotels are situated.
Room rates can be very volatile, especially the large 4 star hotels
in the West End that routinely deep discount savagely.

London
Hotel Districts
West
End: The very centre of London for the visitor with the theatre
district, Oxford St and many of the main sights, consequently very
little budget accommodation.
Kings Cross / Euston:
Kings Cross has some of the cheapest accommodation in Central London,
Euston is more upmarket.
Victoria: Hotel accommodation
of all grades, very central and great direct transport links with
the airports.
Bayswater & Paddington:
Perhaps the major budget accommodation area in London with great economic
restaurants, shops too.
Liverpool
Street & City: The financial and business area of London.
Terminus of Stansted Express and Stansted Terravision buses. Hotel
accommodation has few budget options. |
Bloomsbury
Hotels
Bloomsbury is a great place to stay in London's West End. The area
is full of interesting shops like the book shops around the Charing
Cross Road and olde worlde historic pubs. Its an easy stroll into
Covent Garden or Oxford Street, and the British Museum is at the heart
of Bloomsbury.
We have verified the locations of hotels by walking each street ourselves,
they are not based on postcodes or automated mapping systems.

The
Oxford Street area is surprisingly varied in accommodation grades.
The largest cluster of hotels in the West End of London is around
Marble Arch, which as well as being very central has particularly
convenient airport transfers for all but Gatwick Airport.
